The Musée de la Reddition is a museum in Reims and part of the Lycée Franklin Roosevelt. It commemorates the unconditional surrender of the German Wehrmacht.Am Monday, May 7, 1945, at 2:41 a.m., the surrender of the German armed forces was signed. The German delegation consisted of Colonel-General Alfred Jodl, Chief of the Wehrmacht Command Staff and deputy to Field Marshal Keitel, Commander-in-Chief of the German Armed Forces, his adjutant Major Wilhelm Oxenius and Admiral von Friedeburg, Chief of the German Navy. The document, written in four languages, was signed by General Walter B. Smith, General Eisenhower's Chief of Staff, representing SHAEF and other officers representing the Allied forces.
