The Nesque Gorges are a deep incision in the limestone mountain massif of the Vaucluse Prealps, between the villages of Monieux and Méthamis, produced by the erosion of the river Nesque. The gorges begin south of Monieux, at an altitude of 615 m above sea level and end at an altitude of 270 m, near the village of Méthamis. Geologically they are part of the mountain group dominated by the nearby Mont Ventoux. Along the departmental road 942, you can follow the engraving from above, along the edge of the canyon. The route is dotted with rest areas with viewpoints, of which the highest is at 734 m.
