Author Bart Van Loo tells in his podcast with immeasurable enthusiasm why you absolutely must see this Moses well. According to him, this is the masterpiece of medieval art. It was written by Claus Sluter, a man from the Low Countries who was born in Haarlem, learned his trade in Brussels and then ended up in Dijon. Here he lived and worked from 1385. The cross on top of the masterful pedestal has fallen over the centuries. But that leaves us focusing extra on the most beautiful sculpture of Claus Sluter.
