The Chastang dam is a hydroelectric dam located on the course of the Dordogne River, in France, in the Corrèze department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, in the Massif Central.
The Chastang dam and power plant was built between 1947 and 1952. It is a hydroelectric plant commissioned in 1951. This arch-gravity dam that holds back the waters of the Dordogne is made of concrete and rests on granite foundations. Despite what its name might suggest, it is not located in the municipality of Chastang, but rather in those of Saint-Martin-la-Méanne and Servières-le-Château.
