The Ouvrage B of Thiaumont was a fortification of the type Ouvrage d'infanterie as part of the Verdun ring fortress. It was a small installation designed to cover the gap between the Fort de Douaumont and the significantly larger Ouvrage de Froideterre. The Ouvrage included some artillery positions and infantry shelters.
