The Notre-Dame Tower or Mostier Tower is a fortification belonging to the urban belt of Besançon. It is located in the Tarragnoz area, near the historic center. The Notre-Dame Tower is a tower built in the 16th century. It is situated at the foot of the Citadel of Besançon, in the Tarragnoz area, and was responsible for the defense of the Notre-Dame gate in the southwest of the city. It was altered by Vauban in the 17th century. It is now bricked up.
