The Borne is a river in the Ardèche and Lozère departments of France. It is a typical Cévennes river, tributary of the Chassezac on the left bank, therefore sub-tributary of the Rhône via the Chassezac and the Ardèche.35.5 km long, the Borne has its source at the Col de la Croix de Bauzon in the Ardèche department. It joins the Chassezac on the left bank, on the border between the territories of Pied-de-Borne and Sainte-Marguerite-Lafigère, a little downstream of the confluence of the Altier with the Chassezac.
