The basilica has just been completely restored. Made of local limestone (lumachelle), it has a strong Cluniac structure with three floors. The fifty or so capitals that decorate the 12th century nave are exceptional in terms of both their subjects and their quality of execution. The floral world, the sometimes disturbing bestiary and some remarkable biblical scenes such as the Flight into Egypt, a theme taken up again in the beautiful 14th century carved wooden stalls. Also worth seeing is the white marble tomb of Saint Andoche and the baptismal font.
