The troglodyte fortress of Gourdon is a construction located on the cliffside of the northeastern slope of the Cavillore plateau, in the municipality of Gourdon.
Access to the fortress is via a wide grassy path starting from the Cavillore plateau, which gently descends down a ledge towards the Gorges du Loup. The access path gradually narrows to a width of about 30 cm, overlooking a drop of 300 m. The fortification is located beyond this ledge, which is two to three meters long.
