At the foot of the castle of the Dukes of Gesvres, designed by the architect Salomon de Brosse, which today houses the Museum of Franco-American Cooperation, the New World Gardens offer a selection of flowers and shrubs from the American continent. Rare American species are found alongside common plants acclimatized to our regions, whose American origin has often been forgotten.
Unique in France, these gardens were designed on the initiative of the "American Friends of Blérancourt", who entrusted their creation to two landscape gardeners, one American and one French.
