The Espace d’Art Contemporain Fernet Branca in Saint-Louis near Basel is an exhibition space for contemporary art. It originated from a municipal mandate to complete the cultural offerings in and around Saint-Louis and is located in the distillery of the spirits company Fernet-Branca, which has rented out the building since it ceased operations in 2000. The factory, built in the early 20th century in the Art Deco style and listed as a historical monument of Saint-Louis since 1996, was renovated for its intended purpose by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. The exhibition program is supported by the Association pour le Musée d'Art Contemporain Fernet Branca. Since its opening in 2004, the institution has showcased contemporary artists and art themes in rotating exhibitions.
