The Hospices Civils de Beaune, or simply Hospices de Beaune, is a charity established in 1443 by Nicolas Rolin as a poor hospital in Beaune (Burgundy). The original hospital, the Hôtel-Dieu, is considered one of the highlights of the Flemish-Burgundian architectural style, which leans towards late Gothic from the 15th century. Today, the building serves as a museum. The organization is also known for its annual wine auction for charity, which has long financed the buildings of the organization.
