British military cemetery of Péronne

The British military cemetery of Péronne is a military cemetery from World War I, located in the territory of the municipality of Péronne, in the department of Somme, east of Amiens.

The British cemetery of Péronne was created in March 1917 by the 48th South Midland Division, after the German withdrawal to the Hindenburg Line on March 18, 1917. In March 1918, the Germans launched their last major offensive on the Western Front, breaking through the Allied front in the Somme. They used the cemetery to bury their dead, then it was the Australians, liberators of the city on September 1, 1918, who used the cemetery.
