The Protestant temple of Nègrepelisse is a religious building located at 1 rue du Temple in Nègrepelisse, Tarn-et-Garonne. The parish is attached to the United Protestant Church of France. The Reformation reached Nègrepelisse in 1560. Shortly after, the Wars of Religion in France began with the Wassy massacre. In 1570, the third war of religion ended with the Peace of Saint-Germain, which granted four safe havens for two years to Protestants, including Montauban. The hinterland of Montauban, which includes Nègrepelisse, would become an active center of the Reformation. The Protestants of Nègrepelisse transformed the former Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens church, rebuilt in the 15th century, into a Protestant temple.
