Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park

The Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park is a French regional natural park in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.

The regional nature park, which extends over the departments of Landes and Gironde, in the Landes de Gascogne, extends from the Bassin d'Arcachon to Pays de Buch, south of the Grande-Lande. It follows the valleys of the Great Leyre and Little Leyre.

The Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park was created by the Decree of 16 October 19701, it is being renewed by the Decree of 29 June 19942, the Decree of 17 July 20003 and the Decree of 23 January 20144.

With the renewal of the park classification of 2014, Pissos and Saugnacq-et-Muret left the perimeter of the regional nature park, due to development projects in the two municipalities that are not compatible with the regulations of the park. Other municipalities opt for participation and increase their number from 40 to 51 between the 2000 and 2014 decisions.
