The Morvan Regional Nature Park is a French Regional Nature Park in the Morvan Massif, in the heart of the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region. It was established in 1970 and has 117 affiliated municipalities and 5 gateways since the last revision of the charter in 2007 and the renewal of approval in 2008.
The Morvan Regional Nature Park is located along the departments of Nièvre, Saône-et-Loire, Yonne and Côte-d'Or. It is bordered on the west and north by the depressions of Bazois and Auxois, and on the south and east by the plains of Charolais and Autunois.
The park house is in Saint-Brisson.
Since 2008, the park has 117 municipalities, 40 of which are in mountain areas, and covers an area of 290 900 ha, or 9% of Burgundy. The population N 1 is 51,357 inhabitants for the 117 affiliated municipalities and 70,865 inhabitants if we also include the 5 partner cities1.
