Escape to the banks of the Blies!
An industrial wasteland? A garden? A work of art? The Jardin des Faïenciers is all of these at once! On the site of the Moulin de la Blies, elected 9th favorite monument of the French in 2015, the landscape designer Philippe Niez took up a challenge: give a second life to the industrial heritage of the banks of the Blies. And the result is amazing!
The garden of the Faïenciers is a unique place to walk in Lorraine. Here, old millstones and brick chimneys stand alongside Steppe lilies and other hydrangeas in bloom during the summer. In autumn, let yourself be surprised by the gingerbread smell of the cake trees. The colours, plants and other little creatures that populate the garden change with the seasons and evoke the inspiration of the earthenware makers, decorators of past centuries.
