Musée gallo-romain de Claracq

In the heart of Béarn, the Gallo-Roman Museum of Claracq is the only site museum exclusively devoted to ancient archaeology in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
The archaeological excavations of the Gallo-Roman villa of Lalonquette have revealed the remains of a sumptuous and prestigious residence. These discoveries are exhibited and preserved in the museum, which reveals the history of the site and highlights the habits and customs of its inhabitants. Admire the magnificent mosaics discovered on site and restored, monetary treasures, jewels, ceramics, painted plasters... The circulation within the museum, inspired by the ancient site, distributes the different rooms like a peristyle with a gallery.
