What if, for a few moments, you found yourself at the heart of a Merovingian funeral ceremony? Granted, there are more cheerful places and historical memories to be found. However, it's in the heart of these burials that we discover the customs, culture, daily life and society of that era. Rich women were buried in their finest finery. While the poorest were accompanied by earthen pots. For the men, it was their weapons that best demonstrated their social status. Traces of two Gallo-Roman fanums, or small temples, complete this unprecedented archaeological discovery.
