In 1963, on the initiative of Abbot Joseph Karst, the cultural association for the construction of the Wiesberg church was formed. According to the plans of the architect Emile Aillaud, the church has a rounded shape and forms a spiral. The church stands out from the concrete used for the residential buildings by the choice of handcrafted bricks in the colour pink flamed pink.
