The Church of Magnières is a beautiful church in the ogival style. Dating from the 19th century, it houses 5 16th-century tombstones. Built in 1870, the church was not yet completed when World War 1 broke out in 1914.
The front of the building features a 16th-century Virgin Mary. Inside, you'll find a life-size Christ, an interesting sculpture and a marble Pieta. In addition to the tombstones of the Lords of Haraucourt-Magnières, the most important objects to discover in this church are the remains of Saint Pauline, a Roman martyr.
The patron saint is Saint-Laurent. The Alfred Wild organ case dates from 1990. Concerts are organized at Magnières Church as part of the Route des Orgues program.

Beautiful church in ogival style, similar to the churches of Blâmont, Gerbéviller or Fontenoy la Joûte. This 19th-century building houses 5 16th-century tombstones. Built in 1870 and consecrated in 1874 by Monseigneur Foulon, the church had not yet been completed when war broke out in 1914. During the fighting on the Mortagne river in August-September 1914, the tower was dismantled and the attic destroyed. The building was subsequently restored. This church was built to replace a Lorraine-type edifice with a massive tower, finished with a low bell tower and a pitched roof. It was surrounded by a cemetery. In the cemetery stood the mortuary chapel of the Lords of Haraucourt-Magnières, whose powerful family was one of the four great horses of Lorraine. When the cemetery was disestablished, the mortuary chapel was demolished and 5 16th-century tombstones were moved to the new church. They were used there as simple flagstones, and suffered damage during the 1914 demolitions (one stone was lost).
The front of the church features a 16th-century Madonna. Inside, there is a life-size Christ, an interesting piece of sculpture and a marble Pieta. One of the most important objects to discover in the church, in addition to the tombstones, are undoubtedly the remains of St. Pauline, a Roman martyr. Her patron saint is St. Lawrence. The Alfred Wild organ case dates from 1990. Concerts organized as part of the Route des Orgues program.
