One of the sources of the Moselotte river located near the Breitzhousen Chaume. Christine of Denmark, widow of the Duke of Lorraine François II and regent of Lorraine, quenched her thirst there in July 1560. The stele visible at this place also marks the starting point of the circuit of the water and hydroelectricity cycle. Document relating to this circuit available on request at the Tourist Office of Bresse. Site located on the edge of the road of the peaks which can remain closed for several days in the winter period, depending on the weather conditions.
