Made famous by the novel "Jacquou le Croquant" by Eugène le Roy, the village of Fanlac, typical of the Périgord, lies on a hillside in the heart of the Barade forest in the Vézère valley, very close to Montignac and the Lascaux cave.
As you walk through the village, you can admire its beautiful houses with high gables covered with stone roofs, its fortified Romanesque church, its heavily carved 17th century cross and the old well with its rim worn by the ropes of buckets.
Take advantage of your visit to visit Kristof Mascher, an exceptional craftsman working with fish leather!
