The Joantho Gardens palm grove is opposite the train station. Its name comes from the Municipal Councillor who proposed the plan to Henri Faisans, the mayor of Pau from 1888 to 1908. Look upwards to see the magnificent view of the arches of the Boulevard des Pyrénées.
The palm trees of the garden stand out against the background of the palm trees of the Boulevard, and magnolias and banana trees line the Sentiers du Roy.
A promenade that winds its way up to the Boulevard des Pyrénées, with a unique panorama on the mountain range, with benches and terraces.
It is also possible to go there with our emblematic cable car that was inaugurated in 1908.
