Musée des Minéraux

A 100 m² mineralogical space featuring a collection of minerals and fossils from all over the world, as well as specific minerals from the Limousin region. Come and discover the rich subsoil of our planet, a world of unsuspected riches, to the delight of your eyes! Created in 1993 by the Club Eymoutiers-Minéraux, this museum offers a rich collection of samples in over 40 display cases, devoted to both mineralogy and paleontology. One is specially devoted to the mineralogical diversity of the Limousin subsoil, and another shows the luminescence and fluorescence of crystals under UV light. The spectacular appearance of this multitude of crystals allows visitors to appreciate the different crystallizations, associations and varieties of color that can be found in the subsoil of our planet, in the most beautiful of Mother Nature?s creations!
