Oreilles en balade à Peyrusse-le-Roc

Description

As you arrive in Peyrusse, opposite the village hall, stop off at the Maison de l'Albine to hear the stories of some of the women who were the talk of the town... Albine was said to be a witch...
Then walk down the street on your left. Opposite the café/restaurant, a water pump... They remember when we used to fetch water. As for the children, Montbazens schoolchildren share their experiences to understand how this pump works.
Follow the signs to the village square. At the church, the bell-ringer explains his job and rings the bells. Children have imagined why bells exist.
To your left, a porch... the sculptor and his trainees will take you back to the 70s...
Then off to the old village... And at the king's tomb, you'll find Mr Vernhes, the sculptor. He'll share his childhood dream with you, and you'll understand how Peyrusse came to be what it is today. Children will listen to the legend of Peyrusse... Keep going down... You'll come to the chapel. In the 60s, restless children were brought here...

There are six stops along the way. At each listening point, a sign tells you where to stop. The listening points are independent, so you're free to choose the order and number of listenings. You can also choose to move from one village to another, focusing on themes such as water, religion, bastides, sauvetés and castrums.

QR codes can be found on the signage. Flash them with your cell phone and you'll be taken directly to the audio documents.

You can also download the sounds and google map from the website, or borrow an audioguide from the tourist information office.

If you'd like to continue your audio tour, the nearest village equipped with a sound system is Salles-Courbatiès. 18 communes are now equipped with Oreilles en balade sound trails, so don't hesitate to discover other nuggets: Sauveterre-de-Rouergue, Rieupeyroux, la Salvetat-Peyralès, Le Bas-Ségala (Saint-Salvadou, La Bastide-L'Evêque, Vabre-Tizac), Prévinquières, Montsalès, Sanvensa, Sainte Croix, Quins, Viviez...but also Villefranche-de-Rouergue, Najac, the Viaur Viaduct and the path of sculptor Pierre Prévost in the commune of La Rouquette.
