Église romane - Notre-Dame-de-Champ

Probably built in the third quarter of the 12th century, the church is one of the first and most important in the Vologne valley, as is the village that surrounds it, since it pre-existed the town of Bruyères.

The Church of the Assumption of Our Lady of Champ-le-Duc is a Romanesque building erected on the site of an alleged 9th-century villa, the foundation of which is attributed to the Emperor Charlemagne himself, who is said to have come to the area to hunt. The church has undergone several restorations, in the 18th century and after the Second World War, as well as at the end of the 20th century following a fire. The building has been listed as a historic monument since March 7, 1908.

The church is home to a remarkable array of furnishings, mainly dating back to the 18th century, including the organ, attributed to Nicolas Dupont and built in 1781, the tomb altar, tabernacle and baptismal font.
