Built from 1904 to 1910 by the Germans, this fort consists of 7 buildings spread over 47 hectares and connected by 1.5 km of underground. This Aisne fortified group is located near the town of Verny. It is called a Festen, a fortification built under the annexation. Unique spectacle: a turret in perfect working order. Demonstration of firing blanks with the 5.3 cm close defensive cannon. Several uniformed animations will be organized during the season. Short circuit of 2h30 on the first Sundays from May to October at 14h30. Long circuit of 4h30 by appointment only. For groups of more than 8 people, welcome all year round on reservation and organization of the visit à la carte (duration and course). For school groups, the visit can be adapted to a possible educational project. Visits for groups throughout the year by reservation.
