Known as one of the most beautiful ogival churches in Indre, the collegiate church of Sainte Marie-Madeleine combines three currents of Gothic art. The 14th and 16th-century stained glass windows tell the stories of the families of the many lords who ruled the Brenne region from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. The first historic monument in the department, it was listed in 1842, making it possible to best preserve the finesse and shimmering colours of the works by the master glassmakers, and the lightness of the splendid chapel of the Dukes of Anjou.
