In 1923, the Monument in pink Vosges sandstone was inaugurated on the Place du 86ème R.I. opposite the Town Hall.
This ensemble is the work of the architect Deville, the bronze sculptures are by Vallin. Composed of a hemicycle of beautiful workmanship, the central column is surmounted by a lantern of the dead. The names of the 350 Baccarat dead, victims of the 1914-1918 war, are inscribed on the openwork central part.
