The Tower of Vesvre is a fortified house built in solid materials with walls 3m thick at the base. In the municipality of Neuvy deux Clochers (Cher), 16 km from Sancerre.
This house was built at the end of the 12th century on the remains of an old manor house dating back to the 9th century.
Its history is inseparable from that of the Vesvre Site, which included the neighbouring 9th-10th century castle mound. The Tower was listed as a historical monument in 1993.
The adjoining 13th-century farm was a fortified farm comprising a stable, a dovecote and barn. The barn and dovecote have been recently restored.
