Nestled on a large cliff, the village of Bourg, whose origins date back to the Gallo-Roman period, is classified as an "Ancient Village." Fortified by the English and surrounded by ramparts, it can be accessed through gates, three of which are still visible today. Its English domination, geographical position, and the fame of its wines have led the city to expand and beautify over the centuries.
Bourg is spread over two levels connected by a maze of alleyways: the upper town (shops, artisans, citadel) and the lower town (port, washhouse, water activities). Several tour options allow you to discover the charming attractions of the village of Bourg in a fun and family-friendly way.
