Lescourroux is a large body of water used for irrigation and is separated in two by the road. The northern part, smaller and wilder, is the tail of the lake. The southern part, however, offers excellent conditions for observation in autumn during the bird migration. We will be able to observe all the shorebirds of the region, with occasionally some rare species like the red knot or the stagnatile sandpiper. Osprey and Terns are also regular visitors.
In winter, beautiful groups of surface ducks and divers can be observed, when the water levels rise. You can observe imbin and arctic loons, common mergansers during the cold season or brown scoters.
In summer, a canoe stand up paddle activity is possible on the lake.
