The St. Peter's Church is a Roman Catholic church in the French city of Calais, and was originally the parish church of the once independent village of Saint-Pierre-lès-Calais.
The St. Peter's parish was originally known by the name Pétresse or Piternesse and was mentioned as early as 668. This included the area from Marck to Coquelles and to the north up to the city walls of Calais. The church was dependent on the St. Bertin Abbey in Saint-Omer. By the end of the 9th century, Petresse was destroyed by the Normans. Reconstruction followed. The rights of the St. Bertin Abbey came to an end when the English conquered this area in 1347. The tower was 11th century, and in the 17th century, the church was restored. It was essentially a single-nave church with a small side aisle.
