Musée d’Art et d’Histoire de Montmorillon

First municipal museum of the South-Vienne when it was created in 1936, the Museum of Art and History of Montmorillon (MAHM) has been enriched over the years with works of Poitiers artists, most of them former students of the Poitiers School of Fine Arts. Its designation as a Museum of France testifies to the recognition by the Ministry of Culture of the quality of the MAHM's collections, of a rich and varied cultural offer and of a comfort of visit adapted to the greatest number.

During a free or guided visit, admire landscapes, portraits, rural and religious genre scenes, medals, sculptures, photographs, but also a diversity of collections which testify to the life of Montmorillonne and constitute the richness of our territory.
