The whole of the archbishop's palace is built around a main courtyard, comprising a main building to the north, two wings set at right angles to the south, extended by outbuildings and pavilions, and an old entrance to the main courtyard. The latter was destroyed by the widening of the access avenue. The adjacent outbuildings have given way to modern houses, which have reduced on the original alignment.
