Mondigny is a village of 190 inhabitants called the "Anes". It is located 10km south of Charleville-Mézières and 35km north of Rethel. In the 17th century, Barbe en Croc was a brigand who robbed the stagecoaches going to Launois sur Vence. The church dating from the 17th century has been entirely restored as well as the wash house. A private castle is being restored.
