In the heart of the Serres region, the village of Lusignan-Petit began to develop in the late 15th century. Numerous mansions are built of cut stone. The Notre-Dame parish church was listed as a historic monument in 2005 and dates from the same period. In the 16th century, the two west chapels were added to the edifice, and the vaulting of the first two bays of the nave was completed during a restoration campaign in the 19th century. The commune also boasts a covered washhouse, whose stone fountain was repaired in 1833 and the rectangular stone basin built in 1867. The flour mill at Sabrecul, a few hundred meters from the village, is a picturesque eighteenth-century building.
