Built in the mid-19th century, the "Les Eventées" windmill is of the stone-tower type, with a pivoting roof that allows the wings to face into the wind. This windmill made flour from wheat for almost 30 years, before falling into oblivion.
The heritage interest of this building attracted the Communauté de Communes Nivernais Bourbonnais and the municipality of Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier, who decided to restore it to its original state (2004 - 2006).
Today, volunteers from the Association Patrimoine Nivernais Bourbonnais (Nivernais Bourbonnais Heritage Association) are working to promote this local heritage by organising guided tours (approximately 1 hour) and themed events on the site.
Group tours are available for groups of 10 or more.
