Located in Quirbajou, a charming little village at an altitude of 800m, facing due south, this eco-gîte faces a magnificent landscape. The owners, Françoise and Stéphane, are retired farmers who have held the "Accueil paysan" label since 2011, and have kept a few livestock. Passionate and enthusiastic, they can help you discover Iyengar yoga, gardening, land art, dry stone construction...
The gîte is self-contained and fully equipped, including linen, blankets, dishcloths, towels and more. However, you'll need to bring your own food for the week, as there's no grocery store on site.
It's a quiet little house, away from it all. There are very few radio waves. An ideal place to disconnect, walk, write, meditate... Nature is everywhere.
The house, designed as a studio, consists of a single large room with an open kitchen and a mezzanine. The bathroom (with bath and washing machine) and separate dry toilet are partitioned off and open onto the room. The stove is central and easily heats the whole household, as well as the domestic hot water tank via an ingenious boiler system when the solar panel is not enough. Electricity is photovoltaic, with a screen to monitor consumption and battery levels.
