Original events to take a different look at tourist sites.
Les Nuits du tourisme is an opportunity to enjoy out-of-the-ordinary events at key tourist sites on the Seine estuary.
Here's the program for the evening of Saturday October 19 at Honfleur, Terre d'Estuaire:
Theatrical tour of the Lieutenance
New creation by Compagnie du Souffle 14: a dramatized tour of the Lieutenance, the town's oldest building and a true witness to the history of the Norman port. A fun, family-friendly tour. Actors portray characters who have marked the history of the building and the town, recounting key facts and anecdotes, and explaining the architecture of the site. La Lieutenance, the prestigious building at the entrance to Honfleur's Vieux Bassin, has been completely restored and is now open to the public. It houses a CIAP on Honfleur's maritime history and architecture, as well as an artists' residence.
Bookings only with the Lieutenance by telephone on 02 61 67 11 60 or by e-mail at [email protected]
Tour starts at 9pm - Duration 1h30
Capacity limited to 25 people
Theater at Manoir du Désert: True stories by Guy de Maupassant
A series of sketches - based on short stories by Normandy-born Guy de Maupassant - plunge us into the French provinces of the second half of the 19th century. The author, associated with Gustave Flaubert and Emile Zola, left his mark on French literature, before falling into madness and dying at the age of 42. His writings are notable for their realistic force, the strong presence of fantasy and the pessimism that often emanates from them. As the author of the so-called objective novel, Maupassant reveals the true nature of contemporary man. For him, realism is a personal vision of the world that the author seeks to communicate to us by reproducing it in a book. In these scenes, we glimpse the lives of these men and women, with a critical eye on the inequality of rights, depending on gender and social class... Scalpel-like stories: precision, cruelty, truth.
Bookings only with La Lieutenance, by telephone 02 61 67 11 60 or by e-mail [email protected]
Tour starts at 6pm - Duration 1h15
Capacity limited to 25 people
