The 3-metre high, fully painted wall is a reminder that the site was once home to the Werkhof, the former fire station. It is also a nod to modernity through the reproduction of the glass canopy which is located Cour des Maréchaux. The various museums of Mulhouse are also evoked on this painted wall of the pedestrian centre.
