The church of Colmier-le-Haut was formerly dedicated to Saint-Bénigne. The construction of its porch tower, which dates back to 1830, necessitated the destruction of the former bell tower that was located above the choir. The nave of the old building dated from the 12th or 13th century, and its vaults had been replaced by a ceiling in 1676. The entire building was rebuilt, preserving the bell tower from 1830, using local materials: tuff from Rolampont, sands from the quarries of Colmier-le-Bas, Colmier-le-Haut, or Germaines, and stone blocks from the quarries of Chamblain or Changey. The work was completed in 1881, but three years later, external damage, which led to a new phase of work, occurred (problems with the foundations and drainage). The church features a nave with three aisles of five bays, the porch tower from 1830 located in the southwest corner, topped with a polygonal spire covered with slate, and a choir with a straight bay followed by a three-sided apse.
