Frédéric Fortanier, a Dutch painter, now lives in France. Fascinated by color and pencil
color and pencil, he opted for a career in graphic design before devoting himself
to painting. Since the beginning of his artistic career, he has had a marked preference
for the "line" that inexorably surrounds his subjects.
An adept of series, he mainly paints tulips and the sea, which remains a symbol of the Netherlands. He
a great deal of research and experimentation with color, variation and technique
technique (sometimes he mixes paint and material), so that his works are all very different and
surprising. Fashion is never a factor in his creations; what's important to him is his freedom as an artist
as an artist.
It's easy to recognize his signature style.
