The Skite Sainte Foy is an orthodox monastery. It overlooks the Vallée Longue and is a shale stone farmhouse with slate roofs and openings to an inner courtyard, from which a spring flows. Built on the rock, in the middle of a three-hectare terraced property, the skite is a former Benedictine priory from the Middle Ages. The chapel is decorated with frescoes with contemporary stained glass windows and a mosaic. The garden is decorated with numerous sculptures and the paths with a large format photo exhibition showing the same place at different times of the year. The monks practice organic farming. Numerous restorations testify to the respect of the landscape and the Cevennes tradition. Please come in decent clothes without shoulders and bare legs.
