This waterfall is located on the northern slope of the Noire Goutte massif. The Battion is one of the many "drops" that criss-cross the territory of the Community of Communes. It feeds the waters of the Bouchot when it crosses Rochesson. From Vagney centre, follow the direction of Rochesson. At the exit of this village, turn right on the road to Bas de Plainfaing. Park after the bridge (picnic area) and take the road for about 50 m before following the path which goes in the extension of the bend (blue disc markings). Duration: 0h45 return. More information: At the confluence of the Battion and the Bouchot, a water reservoir and a diversion canal remind us of the importance of hydraulic power. In the past, every watercourse in the Vosges mountains produced energy thanks to paddle wheels. This energy fed the mills to produce foodstuffs, flour, oil and starch... Nearby: La Roche des Ducs / Le pressoir des Truches / Wooden toys and objects.
