Leiterswiller, an associated municipality of Hoffen, has a Protestant church which is the oldest in the Outre-Forêt. Its bell tower is half-timbered, a rarity to be admired.
At the beginning of the 16th century, the church was renamed St. Andrew's Church. In 1189, it was known as Saint-Aegide. From 1693 to 1897, it served for both cults; it was a so-called simultaneum church until the construction of a Catholic church.
The Protestant church was rebuilt in 1736 and the bells date from 2000. It has a monumental cross dated 1784. It has been classified as a historical monument since March 13, 1924.
