Situated on the Alsace Plain, between the Vosges and the Rhine, on the Route Verte that leads to the Black Forest, Alsace Rhin Brisach is a real link between France and Germany, offering visitors a wide range of outings. By car, boat, bike or on foot, you can discover Alsace Rhin Brisach at your own pace.
Visitors can enjoy the many canals and ponds, as well as the numerous cycle paths that criss-cross the region for shady walks along the water and nature. The Rhine offers a wide range of leisure activities, but it's also a peaceful place where nature is very much alive. The Île du Rhin in particular, a vast recreational area between France and Germany, is an exceptional wintering ground for migratory birds. The site offers breathtaking views of the river and the nearby town of Breisach am Rhein in Germany.
In the heart of Neuf-Brisach, visitors are invited to immerse themselves in 17th-century history by visiting the destination's must-see UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Place Forte de Vauban.
