La Forêt d'Art Contemporain : Ronde des ombelles, oeuvre n°21

La Ronde des Ombelles responds to a request expressed by children from the village. Their wish to have access to games was taken up and relayed by the commune. The artist Yves Chaudouët, from the outset, chose to carry the children's words in the sense of a bearer of fire. The children and the project grew up together. It was necessary to get to the point where the first desire could metamorphose in the teenagers that they became, to raise words like embers, to find a poetic form that combines steel and luminescent ceramic, the turnstile and the vegetable maze, etc. La Ronde des Ombelles has never strayed from the first dream. It is now a work of art in seven modules spread over a circle 140 metres in diameter.
