L'OISEAU LIBRE

The gîte is located in a green setting, at the crossroads of numerous hiking trails and close to the Cathar castles. It's a former hotel, an authentic place of conviviality and exchange. The dining room is bathed in light and warmth thanks to its bay windows, and the kitchen is equipped for meal preparation; half-board is also available.
The 9 rooms, sleeping 2 to 3, are simple but practical, with showers and toilets inside. 4 rooms have toilets in the corridor. Some have magnificent views of the Aude Pyrenees mountains.
The terrace where you can relax offers a panoramic view of the well-preserved Château de Puivert and the river Blau, which lulls you to sleep with its song.
A lake 300 m from the gîte is ideal for swimming, fishing and eating.
The village of Puivert is charming, with its old stone houses.
